Test comment - how do I draw a line with TigerCad?
If I have two lines, a and b crossing a third line c, how do I erase that part of c between a and b?

1) Draw a new short line superimposed on one of the end segments you want to keep.
2) Crop the original line back - to make the other end segment you want to keep - using the 'Shorten or extend a line or arc' command.

Thanks, Pete. That will work. I didn't realize I could superimpose one line on another. I live in a tiny country town called Birdsville, in far western Queensland, Australia, by the way. It's amazing where computer programs get to isn't it? Particularly when they are FREE!!!!!

G'day. Good job it didn't come by sea!
Just started playing around with TC, is there a way to group objects? I drew a rectangle, but copy and delete only select a segment at a time. I come from an Autocad and Corel Draw perspective and have to change my mindset, but grouping objects seems basic to using anything to create symbols that stay symbols, if you know what I mean.

Hi Timothy,
I gave considerable thought to what you might call 'true' symbols (ie symbols that stay symbols - like AutoCad's) when I designed TigerCad. I wanted to include this feature - because it's clearly valuable, but I had to draw the line somewhere to make the project viable for just one person (with 3 kids!) (I.e. me) in just spare time. The added complexity to the internal design of the software wa s just too high a price to pay. I hope I've compensated by making cut and paste pretty rich - with features like copying stuff between drawings, and being able to paste things down in a row or around an arc, and dynamic scaling, rotation and mirroring (These were relatively 'inexpensive' additions - in development time terms.)

I have just come across your program, and i think it is great.
I would like to ask-can i use any other cross hatch patterns, or possibly define my own?

If i draw a line and go to dimentions on the drawing it give me the size of the x and y toolbar how can i change that to my sizes.I want it to show my sizes when i print it.Thanks it is a great program.

Hi Cliff, there's no gentle way to break this I'm afraid - no you can't add keyboard shortcuts.

Really enjoyed using this on our PC. Too bad it doesn't work on our Mac :( This is an awesome program and so easy to use. Thank you!
